In this talk we mainly introduce some background and development of the Whittaker modules over classical Lie algebras and quantum groups. Then we introduce our result in a recent manuscript which deals with the classification problem of nonsingular Whittaker modules over Takiff algebras.

夏利猛，教授，碩士生導師。長(cháng)期從事(shì)李代數及其表示理論的研究。在Science China Math.， Commun. Contemp. Math., J. Algebra, J. Pure. Appl. Algebra, J. Number Theory等雜志上已發(fā)表SCI論文40餘篇。
